Adalah General Director Hassan Jabareen to Receive An Award for Outstanding Public Service from the Washington College of Law, American University

On 13 March 2000, the faculty and administration of American University’s Washington College of Law (WCL), at the unanimous recommendation of the Pro Bono and Public Interest Committee, awarded Adalah General Director Hassan Jabareen the First Annual Peter Cicchino Award for Outstanding Advocacy in the Public Interest. 

The Peter Cicchino Award, according to the Committee, was created to recognize and honor students and alumni whose, “devotion and creative service to the public interest exemplify the highest ideals of the Washington College of Law.”  The Committee presented Mr. Jabareen with the award in “recognition of his exemplary dedication to promoting the rights of the Arab minority in Israel.” 

Mr. Jabareen will accept the award at a public ceremony on 17 April 2000 at the WCL in Washington DC.
