Adalah Granted Order Nisi in Case Against Government-Appointed Council in Segev-Shalom and the Ministry of Education

Adalah Advocate Marwan Dalal appeared before the Supreme Court of Israel today for a hearing concerning Adalah’s petition against the government-appointed Council in Segev-Shalom and the Ministry of Education. Adalah’s petition demanded that kindergartens be established for 400 Arab Bedouin children, in accordance with previously issued governmental decisions. A three-judge panel granted Adalah an order nisi. This order recognizes that Adalah has stated a legal basis for its claims and requires the respondents to respond to Adalah’s petition within 7 days.
