In March 2022, Adalah sent a letter to the Haifa Municipality demanding a fair allotment of funds for private Arab schools in the city. In 2021, the municipality funded school transportation only for two private Jewish schools, while private Arab schools did not receive any financial support out of the budget designated for equipment and renovation of private schools in the city. On 11 September 2022, the Haifa Municipality informed Adalah that a meeting was held at the municipality for the purpose of examining this issue, in which it was agreed that the distribution of funds for private schools will be done according to clear and predetermined criteria in a way that ensures a fair, equitable, and transparent distribution of the budget for all private schools in Haifa.
